FRIDAY - May 9, 2008
Your three day adventure starts by train with VIA RAIL from Victoria to Courtenay.
Departure time is 8:00 am from the VIA RAIL Terminal @ 450 Pandora Avenue. Please be at the station in ample time to board the train.
Meals are not provided while on the train, so taking light snack may be a good idea. A staff member will be onboard to answer any questions you may have.
Arrival time in Courtenay is 12:45 pm. A charter coach will be providing the transportation from Courtenay to Gold River. The bus will be making a 1 hour stop in Courtenay which will give you enough time to stretch your legs, have lunch or shop.
Arrival time in Gold River is approximately 5:00 pm. Passengers will be staying at the Gold River Chalet. Your hosts are expecting you and have rooms booked in your name.
Once you have settled into your accommodation, you are on your own to do as you please and perhaps take in the sights of the community. You are "on foot" so you may wish to consider the restaurants next to your hotel for dinner.
SATURDAY - May 10, 2008
A shuttle service BEGINNING at 5:30 am will bring you from your hotel parking lot to the MV UCHUCK III. Departure time from Gold River is 6:00 am for the first leg of your journey to Bamfield.
Arrival time in Bamfield is approximately 4:00 pm. Your B&B hosts will meet the Uchuck and escort you to your respective B&B's. They are expecting you and have rooms booked in your name. For those of you who like to explore, Bamfield has some wonderful beaches. Brady's Beach, located close to your B&B, is a must see.
SUNDAY - May 11, 2008
Departure time from Bamfield is 8:00 am for the final leg of your voyage to Victoria.
Arrival time in Victoria at Point Hope Maritime Shipyard @ 345 Harbour Road is approximately 6:00 pm.

CONFIRMATION - A booking confirmation will be emailed to you. This itinerary also includes a list of Gold River accommodations and/or camping info, parking info, payment info ~ essentially everything you need to know about your voyage and the details leading up to your voyage.
CANCELLATION POLICY: As follows (Guests are encouraged to purchase cancellation insurance from a third party to avoid penalty in the event of a medical emergency or any other unforeseen circumstance):

5 to 6 weeks: 75 % Refund
4 to 5 weeks: 50 % Refund

SATURDAY - May 24, 2008
The MV Uchuck III will be departing from Victoria for the first leg of the voyage to Bamfield. Our vessel's departure time is 8:00 am from Point Hope Maritime Shipyard at 345 Harbour Road. A crew member will be at the gate at 7:30 am to escort you to the Uchuck III.
Arrival time in Bamfield is approximately 5:00 pm. Your B&B hosts will meet the Uchuck and escort you to your respective B&B's. They are expecting you and have rooms booked in your name. For those of you who like to explore, Bamfield has some wonderful beaches. Brady's Beach, located close to your B&B, is a must see.

Departure time from Bamfield is at 8:00 am for the final leg of your voyage to Gold River.
Arrival time in Gold River is approximately 6:00 pm. Upon arrival, a shuttle service to your hotel will be provided. Passengers will be staying at the Gold River Chalet. Again, your hosts are expecting you and have rooms booked in your name.

MONDAY - May 26, 2008
Departure time from your hotel parking lot is 9:30 am. A charter coach will be providing the transportation from Gold River to Courtenay. The bus will be making a 1 hour stop in Courtenay which will give you enough time to stretch your legs, have lunch or shop.
After lunch the bus will be taking you to the VIA RAIL Terminal in Courtenay for the remaining trip into Victoria. Departure time for the train is 1:15 pm and is expected to arrive at its terminal in Victoria at 450 Pandora Avenue for 6:00 pm.
All of your other meals may be purchased onboard our vessel from the coffee shop. Our cook makes fresh soup and sandwiches daily at a reasonable price. If you wish to pack your own snacks and/or meals, please do not hesitate to do so.
You will be traveling the West Coast of Vancouver Island and the weather can be unpredictable. You may wish to consider motion sickness pills, the patch or ginger tablets as a preventative measure. On the up side, May has been a good month for weather so cross your fingers for sun!
It is always cool on the water so bring warm clothing, wind breakers, etc.
We will be traveling the West Coast during the tail end of the Gray Whale migration, so bring your binoculars or camera and keep your eyes peeled! Sea otters, other marine mammals and sea birds should also be seen on your voyage.
